VAIO Media Integrated Server is a Windows background service designed to share media from your PC across your home network. It scans selected folders for music, photos, and videos, then makes them available to compatible DLNA/UPnP clients, such as VAIO Media applications, smart TVs, media players, and game consoles on the same network. The software was commonly bundled with VAIO-branded PCs and integrates with standard Windows media libraries.

Users can choose which folders to publish and control which devices are allowed to connect. The service typically starts with Windows so media is always available, but it can be disabled if you don’t use network streaming. It’s intended for home networks; exposing it to the internet is not recommended. As a legacy utility, it may no longer receive updates, so consider system security best practices or alternative media servers if you need ongoing support.

VAIO Media Integrated Server is developed by Sony Corporation and is used by 44 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 4.2, 5.0, 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2. The names of program executable files are VMConsole.exe, VMISrv.exe, VmServerSettingsIcon.exe and VMSetup.exe.
